Now that the cat's out of the bag

Well, Kaylee and I just got back from a quick trip to California with my parents, and I couldn't even give you a head's up that I would be gone (because I just know you were all wondering where I was and why I wasn't posting - I honestly hope you're made it through the weekend okay without knowing what was going on in my life...) because we surprised my brother. He reads the blog, so I had to keep things on the down low.

As I've mentioned before, he plays college baseball and had a few games this weekend. He knew my parents were coming, but had no idea Kaylee and I would be there. The look on his face was priceless and it was so much fun to see him play.

It was a great trip - I got to experience the deliciousness of Noah's bagels, Panera bread, Duke's, and Barney's Beanery. Did you know they serve peanut butter, jelly, and marshmallow sandwiches rolled in Frosted Flakes? Honestly, their menu was so stinking
HUGE, with everything from pizza to chili, to breakfast, burgers, and everything in between that it overwhelmed me and sent me into a brain freeze of the non-ice cream variety. I got french toast (at 9 o'clock at night) and a side of strawberries. It was a decision I did not regret.

So, we're back - safe and sound, and I go to check my blog and realize that the video I was SO excited about for Summer's Blogversations did not work! I've changed the settings, so it should work. It's changed on the original post, but in case you're too lazy to go find it (kidding), I've also included it in this post. Sorry to keep you all waiting.

Here it is.

It's so good to be back home. Dennis and Kaylee are sound asleep in the rocker, so I'm gonna go catch up on some blogs.

I am the first to comment! Woot, woot! Noah's bagels are AMAZING! You don't have Panera?!? That is just awful. Glad you got a trip to California! We had beautiful weather over the past few days.

How fun to surprise your brother!! I'm glad you had fun. That video is great and I LOVE those kisses!!! We've tried to get Noelle to do that, but no luck so far - she just puts her hand in her mouth.

Welcome back!
